Within the Memoria, Territorio, Cine cycle, a screening of Islandia (2024) by Ina Mayushin. Emilia, a young widow, travels with her daughter Irina up the river toward Islandia in the 1950s Peruvian Amazon; forced to stop in the village of Santos, she ends up transforming her life and the whole community by becoming its first teacher. A debut feature.
