Chifa Nueva Era

Chifa Nueva Era is at Av. Rafael Escardó 237, in the Maranga area of San Miguel. On its Instagram the house shows the classic Chinese-Peruvian repertoire: special noodles, a combo with fried wontons, chaufa rice with prawns, aeropuerto with chicken and tipakay chicken; on Google, diners mostly photograph the soup, the chow mein, the fried rice and the sweet-and-sour chicken. Our take: it is a neighborhood chifa that works best for a family lunch or a group gathering rather than as a destination; the house posts celebrations at long tables and promotes reservations for dates like Mother's Day. It opens every day from 12:00 to 22:00 according to Google, takes phone reservations and has free parking. Curator's note: we could not find a working official website.
