Kauza Restaurante - Miraflores
Why we recommend it
Kauza's Miraflores location is at Calle Tarata 248, the pedestrian street a few steps from Avenida Larco, with a terrace and a bar; the brand also operates in San Isidro. Its website says it reimagines Peruvian cooking with the causa as its starting point, and the official menu takes it through several versions —acevichada, topped with beef, made with sweet potato— alongside classics such as lomo saltado, ají de gallina, arroz con mariscos and arroz con pato; on Google, the most popular dishes are the causa acevichada and the panko prawns. Our take: it is Peruvian cooking built on familiar mains with a clear idea that organizes it, a good option for visitors to Miraflores who want a Peruvian lunch without going to a white-tablecloth restaurant. It opens Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 10:00 p.m. and on Sundays until 5:00 p.m.; it takes reservations through its website, has a kids' menu and allows dogs on the terrace. Curator's note: the website and Google show different phone numbers; we prioritized the website's.
