La Cachina Bar

La Cachina is at Calle Manuel Bonilla 116, in the nightlife heart of Miraflores next to Parque Kennedy. The name refers to Lima's secondhand markets and the place plays with that: it bills itself as a recycling bar, with objects for sale among the tables. People come for the cocktails —pisco sour, maricucha, mojito and Moscow mule are the ones that show up most in diners' photos—, the beer and the music; Google notes live music, performances and dancing. Our take: it is a night bar for groups, more about atmosphere and playlist than signature mixology, with an identity of its own that sets it apart from the area's generic bars. It opens at night every day, from 17:00 or 18:00 depending on the day and until 2:00 on Fridays and Saturdays; Google says it does not take reservations and that the venue is not wheelchair accessible.
