Macartur
Why we recommend it
Macartur sits at Av. Angamos Este 401, on the edge of Miraflores, and on Instagram it presents itself as a shop of traditional Peruvian sandwiches that has been sharing good appetite since 1999. The dishes that show up most on Google include the turkey sandwich, the suckling-pork one, bread with chicken and pork chicharrón and the budget ham-and-cheese mixto, plus salchipapas and juices such as strawberry with milk. Our take: it is a neighbourhood, grab-and-go sandwich shop, handy for an early breakfast or a late-night craving rather than a long meal; Google puts the spend at S/ 20–40. It opens 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and until 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; it takes no reservations and also delivers through PedidosYa. Curation notice: we found no public phone number and its website is listed as under construction; hours and attributes come from Google.
