Buffet Mandarín

Buffet Mandarín occupies a large space at Av. Javier Prado Este 1860, in San Borja, which Google also lists as a convention center. The house presents itself as a buffet with a wide variety of flavors, a dance-floor buffet, live music and special events; diners' photos show the chifa line, ceviche, sushi and a dessert table. Our take: it is not a fine-dining destination but a family celebration hall, designed for birthdays and large gatherings where variety and the party rule. It is closed on Mondays; Tuesday to Thursday it serves lunch only, and Friday and Saturday it adds an evening shift until 1 a.m.; Google recommends booking and notes free on-site parking.
