María Mezcal

The house calls itself a gastronomic-musical catharsis, and that is not an overstatement. The bar is built as an altar to the women mezcal makers of Oaxaca, the menu runs from al pastor and carnitas tacos to micheladas and aguas frescas, and past a certain hour the whole room sings along. El Comercio named it Best Bar at the Premios Somos in 2024, 2025 and 2026, three editions in a row. Our read: this is a night place, a group place and a queue place —Google lists reservations as required and warns that there is generally a wait— so book and turn up with your whole party. If you want a quiet conversation, look elsewhere.
