Museo del Pisco - Lima
Why we recommend it
Lima's Museo del Pisco is at Jr. Junín 201, inside the Casa del Oidor, on the corner of the Plaza de Armas. It is the Lima branch of a brand that also has venues in Cusco and Arequipa, and its website pitches it as a stop for a pisco sour; it offers pisco packs with a bartender and displays a painting of a Lima tapada in the venue. What shows up most in diners' photos is the pisco sour, the negroni, the martini, the ceviche and the bar snacks, and Google highlights its cocktails and live music. Our take: it is a bar for trying pisco right downtown, not a museum; it works best for a drink before or after walking the square rather than as a main meal. It opens every day from 11:30, until 22:00 Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday; it takes reservations through its website or WhatsApp, and spend runs from S/ 20 to 100 per person according to Google.
