Stragos

Stragos Karaoke y Boxes has two venues in San Borja; this is the one on Calle Paolo Uccello, a few blocks from Javier Prado, and the other is on Avenida Aviación. The house describes it as a cozy room with an imposing bar, and adds private boxes booked exclusively for each group. The menu leans on signature cocktails and a selection of whiskies from Japan, Peru and elsewhere, with small plates to go along; the mini burgers appear in the house's own photos. Our take: this is a group night out, for the birthday or the office outing that ends in song, not a bar for conversation. According to Google it opens every day from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.; tables in the main room and the boxes are booked through a form on the website, and street parking is scarce.
