About El Parque de la Imaginación

Parque de la Imaginación sits on Av. José de la Riva Agüero, in San Miguel, behind the Catholic University campus. Despite the name it is not an open-air park: Google describes it as a science and technology museum with games, interactive exhibits and workshops, and its own Joinnus sales page advertises an aquarium —billed as Peru's first—, a dinosaur zone and an African-animal zone, both with animatronics. Our take: it is a plan for families with young children, more about play and photos than a science museum in the strict sense, and it works well as an indoor alternative to the neighbouring Parque de las Leyendas. According to the official price list it opens daily from 9:00 to 18:00 (ticket office until 17:00); general admission (13 and over) is S/ 40, children aged 2 to 12 S/ 25 with ID, and parking a flat S/ 15. On Joinnus the 2026 season is listed at S/ 44.50 for adults and S/ 28 for children. Google lists accessible entrance, parking and restrooms, a restaurant, a play area and card payment. Curation note: the price list on the official website is a 2022 image that is still posted; the 2026 Joinnus price is somewhat higher and may include a fee.
