The Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, in co-production with the Patronato Amigos del Ballet Municipal Civil Association, presents a new season with two outstanding works from the classical repertoire: Carmen and Raymonda, productions that combine dramatic intensity, elegance and technical virtuosity. Carmen, with music by Georges Bizet and choreography by Jean Grand-Maitre, is a passionate work that tells the story of a free and seductive woman whose indomitable spirit unleashes a tragic fate. Through vibrant and expressive choreography, this ballet conveys all the force, character and sensuality of the Spanish tradition. Raymonda, meanwhile, based on the original work with music by Alexander Glazunov and premiere choreography by Carlos Valcárcel, stands out for its refinement and technical demands. This
