Why go
The distinguished Peruvian composer and pianist Pepe Céspedes, together with his quintet, presents a special concert marking the 25th anniversary of the Festival Jazz Con Sabor Peruano. It will be a memorable night featuring the special participation of the diva of Andean lyrical singing, Sylvia Falcón.
With the aim of strengthening projects that integrate jazz with elements of traditional Peruvian music, the Festival Jazz Con Sabor Peruano was born. Giving them visibility and exposure through the concerts is one of the reasons that motivates this event, but so is the consolidation of a genre with national identity.
Over these 25 years, countless groups, soloists, and composers have taken part, which in turn has generated an eager and participatory audience. Across the various editions, albums, books, arrangements, original songs, and innovations in format and sound have been presented.
The Festival was created in 2001 by the Peruvian musician Pepe Céspedes, a pianist and composer of renowned career.
