About ChocoMuseo Miraflores (Tienda y talleres)
ChocoMuseo Miraflores is inside the Inka Plaza handicraft market, at Av. Petit Thouars 5330, in Miraflores. The museum is free to enter and covers the history, nature and production process of chocolate; there is also a shop and workshops, including a mini chocolate workshop and the Bean to Bar workshop, which starts from the bean (official website). Our take: it is more shop-and-workshop than museum: the exhibition is quick to see and what makes the trip worthwhile is the workshop, which works well with children and pairs with a stroll through the Petit Thouars handicraft markets. It opens every day: Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 19:30 and Sundays from 10:00 to 18:30, according to the website, which gives those times as approximate. Workshops are paid separately: the website lists them from US$ 15 (mini workshop) and US$ 25 (Bean to Bar), and the online booking shown on Google gives S/ 99 for the 2-hour Bean to Bar. Curation note: Google shows closing at 20:00 Monday to Saturday; we used the website's hours.
