About Museo Chinen
The Museo Chinen is a scale-modelling exhibition on the ground floor of the Mall del Sur shopping centre, in San Juan de Miraflores. Its Facebook page presents it as a collection of scale models gathered over more than 35 years: cars, planes, ships and tanks; its creator is collector Carlos Chinen, and the space also hosts model-building workshops and model-kit shows. Our take: it is more of a collector's showcase than a museum, but for kids and modelling fans it is an easy stop during a visit to the mall. Curation note: there is no official website or official photos; the hours (daily from 10:00 to 22:00) are the shopping centre's according to Google, and the museum itself publishes no admission price.
