About Playa San Bartolo
San Bartolo is a bay in the resort town of the same name, south of Lima, which Digesa monitors by sector (San Bartolo Norte and Sur). At Playa Norte the municipality and the neighbourhood board maintain the boardwalk walls and a surf module that, according to the municipality, serves athletes and offers a good view of the beach; in summer 2026 the municipality also ran fumigation and rodent-control campaigns on the shore. Our take: it is a resort beach with a neighbourhood feel, better for walking the boardwalk and looking at the sea than for a day on a wide stretch of sand. Entry is free and there are no set hours. Digesa rated it unhealthy in its early-January 2026 report (Perú21 and Caretas, 02/01/2026); the rating changes week to week, so check the Minsa Verano Saludable platform before going. Curation note: we found no official source on lifeguards, services or parking for 2026.
