Al Asador

Al Asador sits on Av. Primavera, in the Chacarilla stretch, with a large dining room, its own bar and a private room for groups. The house defines itself as "much more than a parrilla": alongside the cuts and mixed grills there are pastas, salads, house burgers and desserts, and the photos diners post to Google keep returning to the churrasco, the milanesa, the fettuccine and the lomo saltado. Our read: this is a neighbourhood grill with the ambitions of a full restaurant, built for the long family or group lunch rather than for a chef's tasting experience; Google credits it with a very good wine selection and flags it as good for children, with a kids' menu and high chairs. Practically: free on-site parking with plenty of room plus valet service, reservations are recommended for both lunch and dinner, and it closes early on Sundays.
