Anacapri Gelateria Artigianale

Anacapri occupies a green-painted casona on Calle Coronel Inclán, a few blocks from Parque Kennedy: the porch is taken over by plants, string lights and terracotta tiling, and inside there are tables to stay at. What is made here is gelato artigianale — Italian ice cream and coffee are what come up most in the photos diners post to Google — and the format runs from a single-scoop cone to a cup. Our read: it is one of those ice cream shops that behaves like a neighbourhood café, with free wifi and real chairs, so it works equally for taking a cone away and for sitting an hour; the noon-to-ten hours, every day, make it an afternoon stop rather than an after-dinner dessert. Practically: it takes cards, does delivery and pickup, has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and interior — though no adapted parking — and Google flags it as good for children. Curation note: the house publishes no phone number on Google and has no website of its own (its official link is Instagram), so Contact stays incomplete and there is no priced menu to load.
