Booze Bar

Booze is a bar of craft rather than showmanship. Gerson Arteaga runs it with Juan Huisa, whose whisky collection fills the shelf, and the heavy work happens out of sight: house distillates, fat washes and cordials made on improvised equipment, without the usual craft-bar paraphernalia. The "Smelling Perú" menu inverts the order of choosing: you smell the aromas of different regions of the country first, then order the cocktail that matches. That is where the Sachaculantro turns up — pine liqueur, herb, citrus and tonic — along with the Vainilla Amazónica of aged rum, vanilla, cacao and cold brew; the Cheese Tart of vodka, cream cheese, vanilla, sherry and bourbon; and the ¡Va con todo!, Peruvian grape wine with passion fruit, strawberry and an Inca Kola foam. It is all served in vintage glassware. In 2026 it was nominated for best bar at the Premios Somos.
