Café Luna Nueva - San Martín

Café Luna Nueva operates at Av. San Martín 149, a few blocks from Barranco's main park, in a space with a garden and tables among the trees; as its founder told Perú21, it started in a space of about 50 m² on Av. Nicolás de Piérola. The offer mixes specialty coffee (with its own ground coffee and a cold brew popular with tourists), breakfast and brunch, Creole food, signature desserts and a list of Peruvian wines from heritage grapes; Monday to Friday at lunchtime it serves a set menu. Club sandwiches and French toast are among the most mentioned items in Google reviews. Our take: it is a neighborhood café that became a destination for its garden and its welcome to pets, better suited to a long morning than to a quick meal; it also hosts events and catering. It opens every day from 8 am until 10:30 pm (11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, according to Google).
