Pollos de leche a la brasa en una casona de Chaclacayo · chaclacayo · $$
Chalet Belga
Why we recommend it
Chalet Belga does one thing and puts it in its own name: milk-fed chicken over coals — the young, small bird, more tender than the usual rotisserie chicken. You eat it in a Chaclacayo house with tables outdoors, and the sides are the classics: thin-cut fries, a lettuce, tomato and avocado salad with the house dressing, and the sauces — mayo, ají and chimichurri. The rest of the menu runs to small plates, salads, jugs of chicha morada and lemonade, and a short bar of chilcanos and pisco sours. Our read: this is a weekend outing rather than a city dinner — it is an hour from Lima, up the Carretera Central — it fills with families, and Google flags that booking is advisable. Nominated for Summum 2025 in the pollo a la brasa category.
