Chifa Brillo El Sol - San Miguel

On Av. Universitaria in San Miguel, Chifa Brillo El Sol is one branch of a small chain of chifas that also has a location in Pueblo Libre. The house promotes its set lunch menus and combos for about four people with wonton soup, chaufa fried rice, pork with tamarind and sweet-and-sour chicken; on Google, diners mostly photograph the dim sum, the fried rice and the sweet-and-sour chicken. Our take: it is the neighborhood's Sunday family chifa, with no auteur pretensions, high chairs and room for a big table. According to Google it opens Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 23:00 and on Sundays until 22:00, takes reservations and has free parking.
