Don Tito

Don Tito opened in San Borja in the mid-1980s and now has six locations; this one is at Av. Alfredo Benavides 4592, across from the El Trigal shopping center in Santiago de Surco. The focus is rotisserie chicken with fries and salad, alongside cocktails, wine and desserts according to Google. Our take: it is a classic sit-down, family chicken house, with a kids' menu and high chairs, where the point is the same old chicken rather than novelty. It opens daily at 11:30 am; according to its website it closes at 11 pm Sunday to Thursday and at 11:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, and tables can be booked online. Curator's note: Google shows an earlier weekday closing time (10:30 pm); we loaded the hours from the official website. The phone number is the brand's ordering line, and parking in the area is somewhat difficult.
