HANZO

HANZO sits at Av. Primavera 1494, on the Santiago de Surco stretch near La Encalada. It presents itself as Peruvian-Japanese cooking: its official photos show sashimi boards, acevichado makis, torched nigiris and prawns in sauce, and Google highlights its cocktails, wines and desserts. Our take: it is a sit-down Nikkei for a quiet dinner or a date, more about well-presented product than an auteur proposal. It opens Monday to Saturday in two shifts, 12 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 11 p.m., and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m.; Google recommends booking and notes free parking.
