MamaQuilla Tostaduría
Why we recommend it
It is at Av. Manuel Valle 1101 in Pachacámac, on the road to Cieneguilla and far from the Miraflores and Barranco café circuit. The house was founded in 2015 by Jannet Villanueva and her daughter Gracia Briceño, a coffee taster and roaster; they buy beans from Cajamarca, Cusco, Junín, Ayacucho and San Martín, roast them on site, and serve them alongside desserts and a short food menu. Our read: this is a roastery before it is a café, and that is the difference — you go for the coffee and for the bag you take home, not for brunch; the hours confirm it, opening at 7:30 and closing at 6, with no evening service. In 2019 the Peruvian Coffee and Cocoa Chamber, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, named it Lima's best specialty café, and the directory entry also records a 2026 Premios Somos nomination in Specialty Café. It has its own parking, an accessible entrance, and declares itself an LGBTQ+ friendly space. Curation note: the entry's address read Av. Manuel Valle 350 and Google places it at 1101; it was corrected from the Google listing, which is claimed. The house publishes no menu with prices, so the menu remains pending.
