Mariate - Caminos del Inca

Mariáte runs this shop on Av. Caminos del Inca in Surco, one of its three branches in the district within a network that also reaches Miraflores, La Molina, Magdalena, San Isidro and San Miguel. The display case is built from what the house lists in its catalogue: chocolate cakes, manjares, cheesecakes, pies, crocantes and cocadas, pound cakes, sweet bites and a gluten-free line. Our take: it is a neighbourhood pastry shop in chain format, meant to sort out the birthday cake or the Sunday dessert rather than to sit and linger. It works mainly for takeaway and delivery; centralised orders go through WhatsApp. Google notes that it accepts cards and that there is free street parking.
