Museo Larco Café-Restaurant

It occupies a wing of the 18th-century mansion that houses the Museo Larco in Pueblo Libre, with indoor tables and a terrace opening onto gardens blanketed in bougainvillea. The menu is Peruvian with international touches —bar snacks, sandwiches, mains, a separate dessert list and a vegan and gluten-free one— all published by the house on its own site. Our read: this is a museum restaurant that doesn't behave like one: the kitchen takes itself seriously, there's a bar, a solid wine list and full table service, and it works equally for a long lunch, a Sunday brunch (doors at 9) or dinner. Google lists reservations as required, and it's worth asking for a table on the terrace.
