Pizzería La Romana

La Romana occupies a space on Av. Guillermo Prescott, in residential San Isidro, and is one of the four locations the house lists on its website along with Pueblo Libre, San Borja and Benavides. The menu combines pizzas with Italian-Lima-style pastas; on Google the dishes that show up most are the fettuccine a la diabla, the special garlic bread, the lasagna, the carbonara and the sangria, with more than 3,500 reviews. Our take: it is a classic neighborhood pizzeria, more for family and group lingering than for chef-driven Neapolitan pizza, and its great virtue is its hours. It opens Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 00:00, Friday and Saturday until 1:00 and Sundays until 23:00, with dine-in and delivery; it takes reservations and Google lists free parking.
