Restaurante Caplina
Why we recommend it
Caplina is at Los Petirrojos 325, in San Isidro's quiet Urb. Córpac, away from the noise of the main avenues. The cooking is classic Peruvian: Google highlights the mixed fish and seafood ceviche and the spaghetti a la huancaína with beef tenderloin, and diners' photos mostly show ceviche, jalea, lomo saltado, arroz con pollo and pisco sour. Our take: it is a residential-neighborhood dining room built for the long office or family lunch, closer to generous Creole cooking than to chef-driven cuisine. According to Google, it opens Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. and is closed on Mondays; reservations are made via WhatsApp or phone. It has a terrace, wifi, a children's menu and free parking with enough space. Curator's note: the official website does not publish opening hours or a priced menu; the hours loaded come from Google. The house's Instagram (@restaurantecaplina) confirms the Los Petirrojos address and the reservations number.
