Sabores Peruanos

Sabores Peruanos sits on Av. Alfredo Benavides 2392 in Miraflores and has a second location in La Molina; its own website speaks of more than a decade in business. Cusco-born chef Lourdes Cuba founded it with her husband Jhony Chicoma, from Chiclayo, and the menu shows it: drunken-duck rice, pisco lamb seco, northern-style goat with tacu tacu, olluquito, anticuchos and ceviche. Our take: it is a family-style criollo spot at a mid-range ticket, with no auteur pretensions, better suited to long group or family lunches than to a special-occasion dinner. It opens Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sundays until 6 p.m., according to its website; it takes online reservations and has a bar.
