About Artrotheca – Jockey Plaza

Artrotheca, the educational and conservation project of MOI Animales Exóticos, has a branch on level 2 of Jockey Plaza, in Boulevard 3, in Santiago de Surco; the other, larger one is in San Isidro. Here the visit is a 15-to-20-minute walk accompanied by staff, with 10 animals to observe and 5 for supervised interaction, in groups of 6 to 7 people and a total capacity of 15 (official website). Our take: it is not a museum but a short stop with live animals, designed for families who are already at the mall; for the full experience the venue itself points to its San Isidro branch, with an 80-minute tour and booking. It opens Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 to 21:00, and on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and school vacations from 11:00 to 21:00; entry is first come, first served. Admission is S/ 25 for adults and S/ 20 for children, with a 20% discount for seniors and holders of a CONADIS card (arrange via WhatsApp); they take cash, Yape, Plin and cards. Curation note: the website does not mention Mondays; we have not listed them as an opening day.
