About Centro Cultural Mansión Eiffel

The Mansión Eiffel Cultural Centre occupies a 1912 Art Nouveau mansion at Jr. Ucayali 170, on the pedestrian stretch one block from the Plaza Mayor; according to its website, it was commissioned by the Italian doctor Esteban Campodónico Figallo and designed by the Masperi brothers. It houses the Historic Furniture Museum, with pieces ranging from the late Renaissance (1530) to Modernisme (1914) spread across seven rooms, as well as an art gallery with free temporary exhibitions, workshops and presentations. Our take: it is a niche museum worth visiting as much for the furniture as for the house itself, and a quiet alternative to the busier mansions of the historic centre. The museum can only be seen on a guided tour, on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11:00 and 17:30 (the website gives between 60 and 90 minutes); general admission is S/ 15, and S/ 10 for students and CONADIS card holders. Bookings are made through an online form with the payment receipt attached, or by WhatsApp on 997 141 782. Curation note: the centre's website does not attribute the building to Gustave Eiffel; the name does not imply his authorship. Google shows different hours (Monday 11:00–19:00, Wednesday 11:00–17:00 and Saturday 10:00–16:30); we loaded the guided-tour slots from the official website.
