Big Ben

The house has been on Avenida Víctor Larco, on the Huanchaco seafront, for more than thirty years, and defines itself by the cooking of northern Peru: fish and shellfish from the cove, ceviches, and dishes Google flags among the most ordered —the paella, the oysters Rockefeller, the bouillabaisse. There's a bar, free wifi, a terrace and outdoor tables facing the sea, and on Sundays the house puts on a peña criolla. Our read: this is a long-lunch restaurant for family or a group —there's a kids' menu and high chairs, its own parking, and dogs are welcome— not a dinner spot: it closes at 5:30pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends. Booking isn't required, though Google recommends it for brunch.
