Chifa Mi Amigo

Chifa Mi Amigo has been on Avenida Augusto Pérez Araníbar — the old Del Ejército — for years, on the edge of San Isidro and Magdalena, and it has not changed the formula: a plain dining room, a long menu of rice and noodle dishes, and the lit dragon sign that serves as a landmark on the block. It works two sittings Tuesday to Saturday, midday to four and six to ten, straight through on Sundays until half past eight, and closes on Mondays. Our read: this is a takeaway-and-family-table chifa rather than a special-occasion one; there is delivery, cards are accepted, and parking is on the street, which is tight on that avenue.
