El Corralito opened on 21 December 1995 in Jesús María, run by the Horna Corrales family, and now has more than forty rooms across Lima, Cañete, Ica and Amazonas. The formula has not changed: charcoal chicken by the portion, grills, generous sides and neighbourhood prices, in large rooms built for families. The San Felipe shopping-centre branch sits in the district where it all began. In 2025 it placed among the country's ten best rotisserie chickens at the Summum awards.
