El Encanto de la Selva sits on Alameda Perú, Tingo María's main avenue, and keeps small-town hours: it opens at six in the morning and does not close until eleven at night, seven days a week. The menu is home-style Amazonian — juane, tacacho with cecina, patarashca, mojadito de gallina, inchicapi — in generous portions at neighbourhood prices. With more than thirteen hundred reviews it is one of the best-known rooms in town. In 2026 it was nominated for Best Restaurant in the Amazon Region at the Premios Somos.
