Parrilla de tradición argentina en Barranco · barranco · $$$
El Rincón de Siempre
Why we recommend it
It sits at Av. Nicolás de Piérola 215 in Barranco, in a classic dining room with white tablecloths and colorful walls. The house says it was founded by former staff of a well-known gaucho steakhouse that closed, and that it opened on January 10, 2018. The menu covers Argentine-style beef cuts —short rib, bife de chorizo, tenderloin, rump cap, skirt steak—, with house-made chorizo and blood sausage, sweetbreads, kidneys, anticuchos and chinchulines, plus its own ají parrillero and chimichurri; among the dishes most photographed on Google are the gaucho platter for two and the Argentine-style empanadas. Our take: it is an old-school grill, with tablecloth service and long after-meal conversation, betting on continuity rather than novelty. Practical notes: it opens Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 23:00 and on Sundays until 18:00; it takes reservations online and by phone.
