La 73
Why we recommend it
La 73 occupies a bistro-style space at Av. El Sol Oeste 175, a few blocks from central Barranco, and bills itself as a "gourmet bus stop since 2005"; the kitchen is led by chef Daniel Sologuren. The fixed menu sits alongside a seasonal chalkboard (the spring 2026 one includes grilled razor clams and bonito tataki), and among the classics named by the press are grilled octopus, charcoal-grilled paiche and the house churros. Our take: it is a skilled neighborhood bistro, more about honest cooking and good produce than showmanship, and the chalkboard is the reason to come back. It opens every day from noon and adds weekend breakfasts from 8:30 to 11 am; reservations are made through Meitre. Curator's note: the hours come from the house's Instagram bio (Monday to Saturday until midnight, Sunday until 10 pm), while Google lists closing at 11 pm and 9 pm respectively; it is worth confirming before going late.
