La Terraza del Pardo

La Terraza del Pardo is at Calle 2 de Mayo 403, in the building Google associates with the DoubleTree by Hilton El Pardo hotel, with an open-air terrace surrounded by plants. The house presents itself as a European-spirited café with a Peruvian soul: its menu covers breads, sandwiches, soups, salads, a chef's menu and desserts, and it has a bakery area for takeaway; diners' photos show cappuccinos, pancakes, ceviche and lomo saltado. Our take: it is a Miraflores all-rounder, useful at any hour for breakfast, a working lunch or coffee and dessert outdoors, more versatile than memorable. Practical notes: it opens Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sundays until 5 p.m.; it takes reservations through its website, and Google lists free wifi and free parking.
