Sushi bar de Dos de Mayo, con makis de fusión y barra de tés · miraflores · $$$
Makoto Sushi Bar
Why we recommend it
It is at C. 2 de Mayo 413 in Miraflores, a couple of blocks from the malecón. The menu the house publishes is organised into poke bowls, sashimi, fusion maki, premium maki, boxes and stir-fries, and among the things Google highlights are the cocktails, the desserts and — less usual for a Lima sushi bar — a very good tea selection. Our read: this is a neighbourhood sushi bar with long-menu ambitions rather than an omakase; the range diners report, S/ 60 to 120, and the review count place it on the side of the reliable Japanese spot rather than the destination, and its 2025 Summum nomination in Nikkei and Japanese cooking came from there. The practicalities: it opens all seven days from midday, closing at 10 on weekdays, 10:30 Thursday to Saturday and 8:30 on Sundays; it accepts reservations and recommends them, and it has a bar, valet and its own parking. Curation note: the website publishes the menu by category but prices appear only inside the ordering flow, so the menu remains pending.
