Milanesas, makis y salteados en un local renovado de Surco · surco · $$
Milanésan
Why we recommend it
Milanésan occupies the same premises at Jr. Simón Salguero 423 in Surco where Katsuya used to operate; the house announced on Instagram its reopening with "a renovated space, a new identity and the flavours you already know". The menu revolves around the milanesa —the napolitana with tomato sauce, ham and cheese, or the parmigiana— and rounds it out with makis, stir-fries such as yasaitame and Creole dishes. Our take: it is a neighbourhood restaurant that mixes home-style breading with broad-menu Nikkei cooking, built for eating generously without fuss. It opens Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 22:00 and on Sundays until 17:00; reservations and orders are handled through its social channels, and Google notes a bar, high chairs for children, wheelchair access and free parking. Curator's note: the website listed on Google (katsuyasurco.pe) no longer resolves; hours and address come from the official Instagram and match Google.
