Monotono Coffee

It is at Jirón Fedelli 103 in Barranco, a couple of blocks from the malecón. It is both things at once: a specialty bar and a shop — its online catalogue sells seasonal nano-lots, Panamanian geishas and bourbon alongside grinders, scales and brewing kit — and in the room Google highlights the good coffee, the desserts and the tea selection. Our read: the shop half is what sets it apart from Barranco's other cafés, because it means the coffee they pour is the coffee they sell as beans; Google also marks it as "a good place to work", and with free wifi, tables and a university-student crowd, it is more a working room than a brunch spot. The practicalities: it opens Monday to Saturday from 8 in the morning to 8:30 at night and Sundays from 9 to 7:30; it allows dogs and has street parking only, which Google marks as somewhat hard. The entry records a 2026 Premios Somos nomination in Specialty Café. Curation note: the directory entry placed it at Av.
