Morena Peruvian Kitchen
Why we recommend it
It is at Portal Harinas 181, under the arcades of Cusco's Plaza de Armas, inside the Hotel Inca Wasi Plaza. Among the dishes Google flags as popular is the trout ceviche — the Andean reading of the Lima plate, made with the fish that is actually there — and the house adds good coffee, cocktails and a wine list Google highlights. Our read: sitting on the main square's arcades is the most touristed address in the country, and the usual trap is that the restaurant lives off it; the 4.7 across 4,080 reviews says otherwise — at that volume and on that corner, holding that rating is the story. The practicalities: it opens all seven days from midday to 11 at night, straight through, and Google literally marks "reservations required"; booking goes through Meitre. It has a bar, wifi, a children's menu and changing tables. The entry records a 2025 Summum nomination for Restaurant of Cusco. Curation note: the directory entry carried no address. Google marks the accessible space and accessible parking as unavailable, so the entry carries no accessibility attribute, and it also marks delivery as unavailable. There is no parking of its own and the square is a hard place to park.
