Piano Bar Munich

Piano Bar Munich operates at Jr. Quilca 150, half a block from Plaza San Martín; according to its Instagram it also has a venue at Jr. de la Unión 1044, where a 2020 RPP article placed it, dating its origins to between the late 1940s and 1954. People come for the beer —commercial, craft and German— served in stoneware mugs, the cocktails and the house snack platter, with the salchipapa as its signature, while the pianist plays requests. Our take: it is a bar with history and live music, better for a night of draught beer with friends than for a serious meal. It opens from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Thursday, until 2 a.m. on Friday, from 4:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday, and is closed on Sunday; according to Google it does not take reservations.
