Rafael

Rafael is Rafael Osterling's own restaurant in Miraflores, half a block from Maido, and one of the city's longest-running author kitchens. In 2025 it sat at No.33 on Latin America's 50 Best; that same year Osterling received Summum's Chef Perú Mundo award for his career. The cooking crosses Peruvian produce with Mediterranean technique: seafood, pastas, meats, on a menu that prioritizes flavor over spectacle. The room is full of art and the service is formal; this is a white-tablecloth table more than a counter. It opens lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday. It makes sense for an important meal with some etiquette — business, a celebration, a dinner meant to impress — without entering the tasting format of the top-10 kitchens.
