Siete Sopas
Why we recommend it
This Siete Sopas location is on the corner of Av. Ricardo Palma and Petit Thouars in Miraflores, with terrace seating. The brand was born in 2016 and its idea is simple: a different Peruvian soup for each day (shámbar, caldo de cabeza, menestrón, patasca, huallpa chupe, lamb broth and sancochado), plus artisan breads, criollo dishes, pastas and rotisserie chicken, according to Infomercado; garlic bread, papa rellena and juices recur in diners' photos. Our take: it is well-executed, affordable comfort food, pot cooking that works as well for a family lunch as for a midnight soup. It opens every day from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., according to Google; there is usually a wait and Google recommends booking for lunch. Curator's note: the official website is under construction and this branch shows no public phone number; there is a separate listing for the Siete Sopas Kennedy location (Calle Mártir José Olaya 240), which is a different branch.
