AWA Restaurante
Why we recommend it
AWA occupies a spot on Av. Mariscal La Mar, on the Miraflores block of ceviche houses, with a small dining room, a bar and a few tables outdoors. The cooking is chef-driven and produce-led: the photos diners post to Google keep returning to the croquettes, the scallops and the sashimi, while the house's own photos show whole fish arriving in the kitchen. Our read: this is one of those new restaurants betting on regional Peruvian produce rather than on showcase technique — the two 2025 Summum nominations the entry already carries, "New restaurants" and "Regional cuisines of Peru", point that way — and the ticket Google lists (S/ 80 to 180 per person) confirms it is an occasion. Practically: it runs two shifts, closing between 4 and 7 in the afternoon, and on Sundays it only opens at midday; booking is recommended for dinner, there is free wifi and free parking. Curation note: the house has no website of its own — its official link is Instagram — so there is no priced menu to load, and the only image available is the one from Google's owner-posted category, which is a kitchen shot rather than a dining-room one.
