Bao?
Why we recommend it
Bao? is a stall inside Sutorīto Māketto, the food hall on Av. Mariscal La Mar in Miraflores: shared tables, outdoor seating and counter service — Google explicitly notes there is no table service. The system runs through the whole menu: you pick a flavour (crispy chicken, nikkei chicken, red dragon, pulled pork rib, pork belly, shiitake, falafel) and decide whether it comes in a steamed bao or in a bowl over rice, quinoa or lettuce; on top of that there are signature bowls such as the ceviche bowl, the cangre cosmic rice bowl and the dragon bowl. Our read: this is street food done properly and without ceremony — the S/ 20 to 100 range Google lists covers everything from a single bao to a large bowl with extras — and the 2025 Summum nomination in "nikkei and Japanese cooking" says more about the technique than about the format. Practically: it opens every day from noon to eleven, takes no reservations, has free wifi, allows dogs and is wheelchair accessible. Curation note: the house has no website of its own — its official link is a Linktree — and the menu published there is the take-out menu, which is the one loaded here.
