Cevichería tradicional de barrio, con más de tres décadas en Lima · san borja · $$
El Escondite San Borja
Why we recommend it
El Escondite San Borja is at Av. Aviación 2633 and is the second branch of a cevichería that opened its first house in San Isidro in 1993. The house describes itself as a traditional neighborhood cevichería, with large tables, areas that can be reserved for groups and set menus for birthdays and anniversaries. The menu leans on mixed and fish ceviche, leche de tigre, causa filled with crab meat, parihuela and the seafood rice gratinated with parmesan, which the website presents as the chef's recommendation. Our take: it is a cevichería for long family lunches, more about the big table and lingering than the counter, with the steadiness of a house more than three decades old. It is open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and takes reservations by WhatsApp; Google warns parking can be tricky. Curation note: Google shows 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours that do not match the official website, which is what we loaded.
