CHIFA KAM MEN

Kam Men occupies a two-storey house with a red neon façade on Av. República de Panamá, on the eastern edge of Miraflores. The menu is that of the traditional Lima chifa: the Kam Men special fried rice is the dish Google highlights as popular, and sweet-and-sour chicken, sesame chicken and crab wontons are among what diners photograph most. Our take: it is a neighbourhood chifa with several decades of craft, built for the family round table rather than for novelty. Google lists a private dining room, high chairs for children, free parking and wheelchair access; reservations are accepted and on Sundays it closes at 5 p.m. It also takes delivery orders via WhatsApp. Curator's note: the official website does not publish hours or a priced menu; hours come from Google.
