Donde Walter - Surco

Donde Walter has three locations —Santa Clara, Surco and Chaclacayo— and this is the one at Av. Caminos del Inca 1478 in Santiago de Surco, with a dining room, open-air terrace and bar. The house leads with wood-fired chicken, caja china pork, grills and anticuchos, and its signature tradition is the mostrito; its social media also features dishes like fettuccine a la huancaína with wood-fired chicken. Our take: it is a Creole grill-and-wood-fire restaurant built for the long weekend table —with a kids' menu according to Google and an events service—, more generous than refined. It opens daily from 11:30 am to 11 pm, and Google says it takes reservations and allows dogs.
